Holy. Flipping. Moly. Elle Casey has yet again astounded me with her amazing writing, characterization, and unique view on the paranormal. I completed the 360 pages of Duality in about 5 hours - never putting it down, completely entranced.

I have read and adored so very many of Elle's books and with each one, I have continuously been swept away. Wrecked has been on my to-read shelf for quite some time and now that I've gotten around to reading it, I (as usual) don't know WHY I waited so long!

After obsessing over the War of the Fae series, the release of Clash of the Otherworlds was at the top of my to-read pile. As I've stated in my previous reviews of Elle Casey's work, Jayne is one of my all-time FAVORITE heroines, and when you have cast-mates like Tim the Pixie, his son Willie, and sexy-moody Ben, it makes for a great time!

What took me so freaking long to read this book?! Apocalypsis: Kahayatle was so very different than what I expected - but just that much better because of it. Elle Casey creates a world ridden with violence and horror and injects the perfect amount of belly-laughing sarcasm, wit, and romance. Her characterization is phenomenal and honest through a setting that is disturbingly realistic. Now lets dig a bit deeper.

So, you all know how I love me some Elle Casey. I mean, her War of the Fae series has quickly become one of my all time favorites.


She is releasing her next novel, Apocalypsis (Book 1: Kahayatle) on June 30!

I can't wait!

But let's get to the point...Ummm, ex-squeeze me friends but this book cover is LOVELY! This chick looks like a sexy monk getting ready to show me how much ass she can kick. I love how assassin-ish this photo is. Like she is sneaking through some crazy river in order to get close to her prey.


The double reflection in the water is super interesting too. It almost looks like she has a crown on her head with the way the water is rippling.


There is a lot to love - but my favorite part? The line of her mouth. She just looks so smug. That and the lift of her chin - awesome. 


I can't say enough good things! As soon as Ms. Casey releases a blurb, I'll add it to this post.
