Alana MacGregor craves excitement, but when her sometimes lover dumps her at a popular sex club, she wonders if she’s outgrown her live-fast-and-recover-later lifestyle. The last thing she expects is to run into the nerdy guy she rebuffed in high school—or for him to rock her world in ways no other man ever has.Hot on the trail of a story, Carter Nicholas can’t believe his luck at encountering the one woman he’s never forgotten. He’s come a long way from being a wall-hugging geek. Now he gets all A’s between the sheets. But can he convince Alana he’s her sure ticket to an unforgettable night—and maybe much more?
Reveal Me is a short story that's sexy as all get out and is a great teaser to Quinn's Unveiled series (which I can't wait to get my grubby hands on).
Alana is a former popular girl who in high school didn't give two shits about anything but being popular. Yup, I want to punch girls like that too. It's natural. Alana is well aware of this major character flaw and has thoughts about the boy she hurt on prom night - just to save face with the other lemmings.
Carter is a former geek turned super sexy alpha male who's made up for his adolescent innocence by honing in on his sexual prowess as an adult. He remembers Alana as the caring, open girl she was when they spent alone time together in high school, and when he sees her in a sex club, he simply can't resist showing her what she's been missing - and trust me when I say she's been missing a lot of yummy!
Although the summary sounds tried, Quinn enables readers to feel connected to Alana and even route for her. Carter is sexy and kind while still managing to stop Alana from doing any of her usual crap, forcing her to open up and forgive herself from her aberrant past.
In a rather short short-story, Quinn develops her characters flawlessly, with smoldering sex scenes and compelling inner dialogue.
I can't wait to read Provoke Me - but am hesitant with that hefty $7 price tag.
