Linking Up: Feature & Follow

This is my first time linking up with this great Follow-for-a-Follow meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. All you have to do it follow the hosts (either by GFC, email, Linky, NetworkedBlogs, etc.) and their featured blogger. Then you can play! Follow as many (or as little) blogs as you wish from the Link-up, leave a comment with your blog-site and the way that you followed them, and easy as that get a follow back! Just make sure if someone follows you, you return the favor - it's southern hospitality after all. :)

This seems like a great way to make new friends and see some awesome book blogs - I can't wait!

Question: What is the best cover of a book you've read but didn't like?

Answer: Aleron by Kane (review HERE)
Honestly? This book just didn't do it for me. Aleron was a new take on real-life vampires. Not the storybook/sexy/devilish kind but regular people like you and me that tasted human blood and treated it like a meth addiction. There's a mix between religious views, addiction meetings, and psychotic episodes which may sound interesting except it lacked in character connection and story building. Moreover, I didn't feel like I understood what was going on until about 3/4 of the way through the book and I was just waiting for a climax that eventually came - but by that point I just simply didn't care about it. And I LOVE to love books. I was bummed that this one didn't live up. :(

If this is your first time stopping by, here are some great Giveaways happening this week:

Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Hi ya Joie - I swear I was looking so very forward to this book. It's the first in a series and I'm one of those series OCD people that *MUST* complete one when I start it and this is the only one that I really couldn't careless to pick up the next in the series.

The hubs and I designed the blog together - so thank you so very much for the complement. :)
